AI Visuals in Power BI

Using AI is a norm these days. There is a possibility in most of Microsoft products to use AI or ML in their tools. Microsoft Power BI is one of the hottest self-service BI products. In this course, you will learn how to use some of the Power BI visuals for the aim of advanced analytics and getting more insight. This can be from Key influencer visual who can be used to identify the main influencers on specific data fields to the Decomposition tree for decomposing the data based on the different values. Also, how to use Q&A visual for the aim of asking questions and create visual fast and how to define new terms and adjectives for each column. And finally, two simple charts like the scatter chart and line chart for the aim of clustering the data and forecasting.

This course has 4 modules and each module has some parts. The main topic would be:

Module 1: Key Influencer Visual

In this lesson you will learn what is key influencer visual and how does it is work, and how it can be helpful to see the cause and effect. 

  • Setup the key influencer
  • Identify the main influencer and impact
  • Segmentation of the data

Module 2:  What is Decomposition tree

In this lesson you will learn how use the decomposition tree to show the decomposition of the data based on different values

Module 3: Q&A Visual

In this lesson, the main functionality of this visual in Power BI desktop will be presented and the audience will learn how to use natural language to create visuals from their data.

Module 4: Embedded AI Feature   

The audience get familiar with how to get simple and basic clustering analytics using the scatter chart. Also, how in a line chart they can see the forecast of the data.  

  • How clustering works in the scatter chart
  • How forecasting can be possible in a simple line chart

Module 3 - Q & A Visual

In this module the main functionality of this visual in Power BI desktop will be presented and audience will learn how to use natural language to create visual from their data. • How Q&A works • Define some terms for the adjective and synonym for each column • Review business user’s defined term in Power Bi service This module has three lessons, however, the lessons would be available later when the next version of Power BI Desktop (April 2020 or after) becomes available.
